Congrats to both the Lassiter Boys and Girls Swim & Dive teams for winning the 2025 Region 6-AAAAA Championships on Saturday, January 18. Trojan swimmers will soon compete in the Cobb County and State meets to see if they can keep the winning streak going. 

During the meet, Lassiter Swim & Dive also celebrated its Seniors: Kate Bradley, Mac Brune, Matheus De Araujo, Liam Holder, Oren Horak, Finnly Jollands, Rose Jones, Ryan Kotarba, Cody Miles, Annabeth Miller, Marcello Paez, Austin Moon, Maggie O’Shaughnessy, Annabelle Simmons, and Alexis Thornton. 

Both the Boys and Girls teams also took home the second place title at the Cobb County Championships, with the boys narrowly losing out on the top spot, with only 7 points separating them and the boys first place finisher, Walton High School. The Lassiter boys took first place in many events, including the 400 freestyle relay with Ethan Jones, Alex O'Brien, Cody Miles and Gavin Halusic. Cody Miles won both the 500 freestyle and the 100 IM by half a pool's length, and Gavin Halusic took first place for the 50 freestyle. 

The State Meet is up next for Trojan Swim & Dive, which will take place on February 5-8 at Georgia Tech.
