Lassiter ranks second in district for SAT scores

Each year, thousands of students take the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), a key measure used by colleges and scholarship committees nationwide. SAT scores can open doors to scholarships, college admissions, and future career opportunities — making strong results a point of pride for any school.

Lassiter High School has plenty to celebrate this year, earning the second highest SAT score in the Cobb County School District with an impressive average overall mean score of 1206. This marks a 24-point increase from last year’s average and places Lassiter 12th in the entire state of Georgia.

For comparison, the statewide average SAT score for 2025 is 1038. Cobb Schools continue to stand out in the metro Atlanta area, achieving an average score of 1116 out of a possible 1600, the highest among neighboring districts. Cobb students outperformed those in Atlanta Public Schools, DeKalb County Schools, Fulton County Schools, and Marietta City Schools, underscoring the district’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence.
