Lassiter took first place in the Advanced Film Drama category of the Cobb County Short Film Festival awards night, held December 8 at Sprayberry HS. The winning production, "The Sticky Situation", features a small town detective that cracks down on a case at a sticky note factory. The students, Cason Castillo, Sam Troisi, Justin Lunney, Matteo D'Urso, Brian Martin, Parker Tanke, and Tucker Rivera, had three days to shoot the film and one day to edit. Lassiter competed against 15 other entries in this category.
