LHS NJROTC student Chase Patterson receives $180k scholarship from the Marines

Congrats to Lassiter Senior and NJROTC student Chase Patterson for receiving a full tuition scholarship for a total of $180,000 to a 4 year university with an NROTC unit. Chase was chosen because of his exceptional history in academics and athletics, as well as his character and leadership abilities.
As part of the scholarship, Chase will also attend Officer Candidate School and face one of the toughest and most demanding officer trainings the military offers. Upon college graduation, Chase will commission and serve as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, leading enlisted counterparts in the Nation's greatest fighting force.
