Make a difference this holiday season.

November is National Gratitude Month.  There is no better way to show gratitude than by giving back.  McClure has partnered with our PTSA, neighbors, and the community to give back.  As we enter the holiday season, please consider lending a helping hand.

Bullard Shoe Drive – The Bullard Beta Club is doing a used shoe fundraiser to pay for two water bottle filling stations for their school. Bullard families have already donated 500 pairs of shoes. We are partnering with them to help them reach their goal of 2,000 shoes! Please bring any pair of gently used shoes (we’ve all got that pair we’ve rarely worn) to the drop box in our front office between now and November 22nd. See this flyer for information on what shoes to donate (and what NOT to donate) and how to bring them in.

6th Grade Student-Parent Battleship – How would you like to spend a morning with your student(s) playing one of McClure’s best PE games and helping the community? Well, you can. Here’s an opportunity to perform two amazing feats in one morning. One, play Battleship with/against your student, and two, donate canned goods for our Thanksgiving food drive. So, please mark your calendars and join us on Monday, November 11th, from 8:00 to 8:50 am in the wooden gym. We ask that you wear some athletic shoes to participate. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Scott Hausdorf at scott.hausdorf@cobbk12.org. We look forward to seeing you on Nov. 11th!

Holiday Support – With the holidays right around the corner, our School Social Worker and PTSA are collaborating to support needy families. Families can sign up for a Thanksgiving Basket here. Looking ahead to Christmas, you can also register for the Must Ministries Toy Shop in early November. See this flyer (Spanish, Portuguese) for more information on both!

Thanksgiving Sponsors – Help sponsor a McClure family in need this Thanksgiving. The PTSA coordinates with our school social worker to provide food baskets to families on Thanksgiving. Donate here or see this flyer for details if you want to contribute.
