Beginning April 25 and going through May 24, all students will be taking the Milestones. Please note, when students take their grade level Milestones assessments, all students will be leaving all their belongings in locked classrooms and traveling to the testing sites. All smart devices, including phones, watches, etc., will stay in the locked classrooms while students are testing from 9:30 until 12:30 each day.

The Milestones will assess what our students have been learning this year through their learning targets that are posted each day in all their classes. Select eighth graders will also be taking the High School Algebra I and High School Physical Science Exams as these courses are for high school credit. These are the only high school credit courses offered in eighth grade which have a Milestones component. All students will be assessed in math and English Language Arts (which includes reading). Only eighth graders will also be assessed in social studies and science. Read more about the Milestones Assessment System.

In addition to the daily lessons taught in their classes, students have also had access to free help sessions in their content areas before school and free online access to USA Testprep and Tutor ATL. As we approach the testing dates, the school will also be offering additional help sessions for students.

To help prepare students to what the online testing will be like, students should take part in the Experience Online Testing Georgia (EOTG) found online and ensure they are familiar with Desmos calculator.
