Cobb County School District provides middle school students with a laptop to use for school work. The enrolling parent/guardian must opt-in through their ParentVue account before students will receive a laptop. If you need to opt-in for a device, use the student-laptop-agreement-how-to-opt-in.663b1f101978.pdf resource. If you have ParentVue questions, contact Ashleigh.Stigler@cobbk12.org

Because students are responsible for taking care of their device while they are at school and at home, we have created a Student laptop care guide.pdf and Classroom expectations poster 2024.pdf as a guideline.

If you need to purchase a replacement charger or case for the Dell or Lenovo, use the Suggested Replacements for laptops.pdf resource. This resource also offers a screen protector that parents can purchase. If a student breaks their screen, they will be without a laptop while we await replacement parts.

If a laptop is not working properly, students should ask their teacher for permission to bring it to the media center. There is a kiosk set up that students can submit a work order to have the computer technician investigate the issue. Please note that the school does not provide loaner laptops while students are waiting on repairs. They may bring in a personal laptop with parent/guardian permission and have the media center staff help connect it to the school wi-fi. They may not use their personal cell phones during this time.
