Please attach any doctor's documentation to your email. Make sure you include your student's first and last name. Notes must be submitted within 3 days of the student's absence.

Under Georgia's Compulsory Attendance Law, mandatory attendance in a public school, private school, or home school program shall be required for children between their sixth and sixteenth birthdays.

Parents shall receive notification from the Pupil Personnel Clerk within the Attendance Office upon their student's third unexcused absence. Additional communication will be provided to parents should their student reach five unexcused absences. Students reaching seven excused or unexcused absences may receive communication from the Attendance Office and/or the School Social Worker. Each absence will be reviewed to account for unique circumstances, such as injuries or the loss of a family member. It is essential that families maintain strong communication with the Attendance Office about reasons for absences.
