Pine Mountain's Engineering and Technology Program has been named a Georgia Program of Excellence. Mr. Richard White teaches the engineering and technology courses at Pine Mountain. The courses are Computer Science for Innovators and Makers, Design and Modeling, and Automation and Robotics. 

With over 90% of new jobs being created in the technology and engineering fields, courses such as these help prepare students for their future and encourage them to follow their dreams. Mr. White shared, "I believe every student can find success in both the technology and engineering fields with encouragement and support." Mr. White has served the Cobb County School District for almost 16 years as a substitute, paraprofessional, and classroom teacher.
