The Lindley Sixth Grade Academy was established as a “school-within-a-school” during the 2007-2008 school year, becoming the first middle school in Cobb County School District to adopt the concept. Lindley Middle School's population of 1,400 students was divided into two smaller learning communities, providing the opportunity for a more supportive instructional environment. The academy presents a great opportunity to meet the needs of our students by supporting their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive changes.
