Library Learning Commons
Welcome to Russell’s Library Learning Commons
Important Links:
Cobb Digital Library - A wealth of online resources from eBooks to digital reference books.
Microsoft Office 365 Information - Office 365 has a variety of apps. Students have access to this information with their Office 365 log in which is their firstname.lastname and their password is the same password that they use to log in at school.
There are so many resources available for students on the internet it can be difficult to choose just the right ones. We do suggest students use appropriate search engines (other than Google) and sources for images (other than Bing). Links to these can be found in Cobb Digital Library and on the Destiny homepage: https://cobb.mackinvia.com

Lost or Damaged Books:
We believe it is important our students learn to be responsible for their actions. Students using Learning Commons books are expected to treat them carefully and take care of the materials loaned to them.
Lost or damaged books and other materials will be charged according to Cobb County Policy. (This includes torn book covers.)
Overdue notices will be sent out on a regular schedule. Student notices will sent out through the email that is listed in ParentVue.
Students with overdue, lost, or damaged materials may not checkout additional materials until all items are returned or paid for.
End-of-year report cards for students with overdue or missing materials will be held until all fines are paid or materials returned.
Learning Commons Volunteers
We appreciate our wonderful volunteers at Russell! Since thousands of books are checked out and shelved each month, the help of our volunteers is so meaningful. At Russell we have student volunteers and adult volunteers who are parents or other special adults in the community. To find out how you can help, please contact our Media Specialist.
