Ms. Whitney Robinson - P.E. Teacher

2026-2027  Certified Teacher of the Year

I began my teaching career in Gwinnett County, after graduating from the University of Georgia. After my first year teaching, I joined Simpson Middle School — a place that quickly became home. I’ve been at Simpson ever since, proudly serving our students and school community. Along the way, I earned my master’s degree from the University of Alabama, further strengthening my commitment to education and professional growth.

Teaching PE is truly where my heart is. I love watching students challenge themselves, support one another, and discover what they’re capable of. Every day in the gym reminds me why I chose this career, and I feel grateful to do what I love with a school community I care so deeply about.

Ms. Allison Mimbs - Paraprofessional

2026-2027 Classified Employee of the Year

This is Ms. Mimbs third year here at Simpson Middle School. She started her journey with us as a paraprofessional working with students in the Emotional Behavior Disorders program. Her second year she transitioned to the severe and profound daily living classroom where she continues to serve our students. With a bachelor’s degree in social work, she is currently working towards her master’s degree in social work as well. Ms. Mimbs also greets our students each day as they enter the school as a part of study hall. She is always willing to help wherever needed and truly loves what she does each day. “ I am grateful and honored to be recognized for my passion and dedication to our students, I love it here at Simpson!”
