Title I
Belmont Hills Elementary is a Title I school. Title 1 was enacted in 1965 under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. This policy is committed to closing the achievement gap between low-income students and other students. The policy was rewritten in 1994 to improve the fundamental goals of helping at-risk students. Title I Federal funding comes to the school to ensure that all our students have the same opportunities for success. At Belmont Hills, https://media.cobbk12.org/media/WWWCobb/medialib/final-belmont-hills-spanish-school-family-engagement-policy-2023-2024.1ce5eb90996.pdfwe are clearly committed to all of our children and to their success in school and in their success in life. Title I funding allows Belmont Hills to have the tremendous programs that we have, such as science labs for K-5th grade, Curriculum Nights, small group intervention support for grades 3-5, additional classroom technology, two bi-lingual parent liaisons, and an educational consultant.
