We're glad that you are here, and we look forward to serving you. If at any point in the registration process, you have a question, please review the information below and reach out to us at 678-581-6791 (M-F 8:30 A - 4:30 P) or via email at cobbvirtualacademy@cobbk12.org.

Summer Term is an intense 6-week session that compresses the coursework from the normal 16-week Fall/Spring term. Students should expect to productively participate daily and work approximately 20 hours a week in both online and offline activities to complete all requirements for an A or B (.5 unit) class. Students taking a Y class (1.0 unit) or two .5 unit class (such as Health AND Personal Fitness) should expect to productively participate daily and work approximately 40 hours a week in both online and offline activities to complete all requirements for the class. Students may work ahead but must meet all coursework deadlines as prescribed in the class schedule found in each Cobb Virtual Academy course.

This page and registration link are for students NOT enrolled in the Cobb County School District. Students enrolled in CCSD should click HERE.

*Please note - this page contains information that is specific to non-Cobb County School District students taking CVA classes.

Personal Fitness Heart Rate Monitor Information

CVA Personal Fitness students can use their own heart rate monitor or a program-issued one. After registering for the class, students will receive a form link via email to indicate their choice. Program-issued equipment is made available at the student's local school or mailed to the student's home address. Instructions for using the equipment are provided inside the class, and the CVA teacher will reach out to set up an online meeting on how to use the program-issued equipment as needed. With the guidance of their instructors, students will use heart rate monitoring devices to track and make progress toward their physical goals.

Personal devices must be able to upload screenshots of workouts that include the following information: Date/time of workout, duration of workout, heart rate data graph, and average heart rate. Click here to access instructions on using the Apple Watch or Fitbit Inspire 2 (or any Fitbit that calculates average heart rate) as your heart rate monitoring device for your CVA Personal Fitness course.  We look forward to working with you and having a successful, healthy Spring!
