Before students start the registration process, CVA encourages them to meet with their local school counselor to make sure they register for the right course.

1. Student Registers Online: The student goes to http://cobbvirtualacademy.org, clicks the drop-down menu, and chooses Register for Classes to begin the registration process. Students then receive a confirmation email for each course request. Students should check their email right away to be sure they have received this information. If students do not receive one email per course request, they should email the CVA administrative office at cvaregistration@cobbk12.org.
2. Local Schools Verify Course Selection: Local school counselors verify student course selections (rising 9th grade students are verified by their middle school scheduling administrator). Students and parents receive an email when verification is complete. If the student is taking a course as a tuition student*, the verification email contains payment information.
3. Student is Enrolled in CVA Course: The student receives "Welcome to CVA" email with important information. 

*Tuition Students Only: Parents and students will receive an email with payment information upon local school course approval. Payment must be received within 1 week of receiving the "CVA Class Approved - Tuition Payment Due" email or by the end of online registration, whichever is earlier. All Summer Term 2026 tuition payments must be received by June 1, 2026.
