Administration
Dr. Ashley Beasley, Principal
I am so excited to begin my second year with the Davis family! I look forward to a fun year of learning for all students.
My 20 years of previous experience have helped shaped my commitments within the educational setting. While serving as an academic coach I gained a great understanding of how that I can simplify and strengthen the foundation for teaching and learning to prepare for innovation. During my 9 years as an Assistant Principal, I focused on ensuring that each student had a positive learning environment in place and was provided with quality instruction. During my 2 years as the Director of Cobb’s Elementary Virtual Program I was able to leverage the power of CTLS and other technology tools to enhance solid instructional practices. My first year at Davis was a great learning experience and I know that this year will allow me to reflect on everything that I learned last year to lead our staff.
I am proud to say that I am a graduate of the Cobb County School system! I know from experience that Cobb is the BEST place to teach, lead, and learn! I attended Still Elementary, and transitioned to Dowell Elementary when it opened, moved on to Tapp Middle School and graduated from McEachern High School. I also stayed in Cobb County while obtaining my four degrees from Kennesaw State University. I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, a master's degree in educational leadership, and a specialist degree and doctorate degree in instructional technology.
My husband Gavin and I have been married for 19 years. We have two rescue dogs-Kramer, our black Lab, and Lucky, our German Shepherd. They both love going for walks, swimming in creeks, and going for truck rides. We enjoy staying active, hanging out with friends, being around water, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs play football.
I look forward to an amazing 2024-2025 school year with you!

Jennifer Carusone, Assistant Principal
I am looking forward to my 3rd year as Assistant Principal at Davis Elementary. Davis has such a wonderful and supportive community that I have been lucky enough to be a part of for the last 8 years as a teacher, parent, and administrator.
This is my 18th year in Cobb having worked at 2 previous Cobb County schools and taught in a variety of grade levels (K, 2, 3, 5) and as support (English as a Second Language, Early Intervention Program).
I have been married to my husband, David, for 17 years and we have 2 children, Brooke and Andrew, and a dog named Rusty. When not at Davis, I am usually cheering on my children at swim team, reading, walking our dog, or supporting UGA football.
I look forward to continuing to build positive relationships with community and helping to ensure a safe and fun learning environment for all students.
Evelyn James, Support and Services Administrator
I am so very excited to be the Support & Services Administrator (SSA) at Davis Elementary, joining this amazing community of families and educators. The 2023-2024 school year will be my 10th year in Cobb County School District, during which I have taught in a variety of grades and supported students with varied strengths and needs.
I am the mother of one amazing girl who will be heading off to college this Fall, leaving me in charge of her beloved canine child-aka Lola. When not at Davis, you may find me buried in a book, roaming my happy place (aka Sam’s), or out and about this amazing state.
I look forward to an amazing year supporting the success of our students. Go Tigers!
