Dear Dowell Families,
🚗The safety of our students, families, and staff is our highest priority. During morning and afternoon carpool, please remain in your vehicle and allow Dowell staff members to assist your child as they enter or exit the car.
🚶🏻When parents get out of their vehicles or walk through the parking lot, it creates a potential safety hazard and can distract drivers. If you need to park and walk your child to the school entrance, please use the designated crosswalks only. Wait patiently for traffic to stop and for a Dowell staff member to guide you safely across. Please do not walk freely through the parking lot.
📰As an additional reminder, if possible, please print your carpool barcode and have it ready for scanning during afternoon dismissal. This helps our carpool line move more quickly and efficiently.

📝The fall administration of the BEACON assessment is now complete. Thank you for ensuring that your students were test-ready each day throughout the testing window. The assessment data will be a valuable resource for our teachers as they continue using multiple data sources to inform and guide instruction. Individual student reports will be shared during conferences. However, if you would like to receive your child's report sooner, please contact your child's teacher.

The survey collects feedback about student learning, wellness, and our school environment. Participation is anonymous and voluntary, and your input will help Cognia, the Cobb County School District, and Dowell identify strengths and opportunities for continued growth.
Students in third, fourth, and fifth grades will also complete the Cognia Student Survey during the school day.
