District Issued Laptops

Kell High expects district-issued laptops to be a regular part of our teachers' instructional practices. If your student has not consistently used their county-issued laptop this summer, please have your student do the following:

  1. Plug the device in and turn on the power
  2. Login and connect to your home Wi-Fi
  3. Leave the computer on overnight to receive updates pushed out over the summer.
  4. This device should be brought to the media center before school if there is an update issue.

If you have not previously opted in for a laptop, please utilize ParentVue to opt-in for a device. Laptops will be distributed for new opt-ins during the first two weeks of school.

2024-25 Fall Semester Schedule Information

Schedules will be available for viewing on Monday, July 29, after 4:00pm. Students can access schedules through StudentVue or ParentVue.

Please note that schedules will not be changed for elective or core courses unless they meet one of the criteria noted below. Parents or students will complete an online form to trigger the schedule review process if a schedule correction is necessary. Further details and the course correction link will be shared on Monday, July 29th.

Schedule Correction Criteria:

  1. The student has an open block (meaning no class is scheduled for one or more periods).
  2. The student has already successfully completed the course.
  3. The student has not completed the prerequisite course that is needed.
  4. The student has sequential courses, both listed in the same semester.
  5. The student has a major imbalance during a semester (3 electives in semester 1).
  6. The student is a senior who needs a course to meet graduation requirements.
  7. Dual Enrollment students are already enrolled in equivalent high school courses.

Please also note that there may be courses on your schedule that you did not request. This situation only occurred in cases where the student did not select electives during elective registration, or we could not make the schedule work with your requested courses or alternates, so we had to pick a new course for you. You cannot change those courses unless they meet one of the criteria above.

Parking Information

If you plan to drive to school this year, you must purchase a Kell High School parking decal for both semesters. Passes are only valid for one semester.

All parking details are found on the Kell High School Parking webpage along with the 4-page application. Payment for parking ($50 per semester) can be made on MyPaymentsPlus.

New Student ID Procedures

Parents, please be sure students can access their StudentVue barcode at school. They can do this by accessing StudentVue using their phone or using a screenshot of their student barcode (accessible through StudentVue). We are moving to electronic check-in via student barcode at all tardy stations, so students must have this information.
