Mabry offers an extended school day tutoring for students struggling in a particular subject area, or who may be at risk of retention. The Extended Day Tutoring program is free of charge and is offered by Mabry teachers from core academic subject areas. Small groups of students meet with their assigned teacher for 1-hour before or after school, one day a week November - April. Subject areas offered depend on both the level student demand and teacher availability; not every subject area will be offered.

An initial determination of adequate academic progress is made within the first 9-week quarter, at which time Extended Day Tutoring invitations are delivered to students and parents during Parent Conference Week. However, as student needs arise additional invitations for Extended Day Tutoring may be offered throughout the year.
