Congratulations to Declan Durham and Donaca Tamayo on being named our Class of 2025 STAR Students and congratulations to Mr. John White and Mr. Alan Roberts on being named our STAR Teachers! 

Declan and Donaca earned the honor of STAR Student by earning the highest SAT score in one sitting from the fall administration dates.  With earning the honor of being our STAR Students, Declan and Donaca were able to name a STAR Teacher and Declan proudly selected Mr. White of the Mathematics Department and Donaca proudly selected Mr. Roberts of the Fine Arts Department (Choir). 

When asked why he chose Mr. White, Declan stated "Mr. White is an amazing teacher and amazing person as well.  When finished with a topic, he always encouraged me to take a deeper look at the topic and was always there to provide assistance and answer questions."

When asked why she chose Mr. Roberts, Donaca stated "I have been in choir since fourth grade so growing up music has always meant a ton to me.  Choir is a class that has always meant the most to me and Mr. Roberts has been there for me all four years of high school and he has been the most influential teacher I have ever had." 

After graduation Declan plans to attend Auburn University to double major in music and chemistry as well as join the Auburn University Marching Band.  Donaca plans to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology to major in nuclear engineering.
