The window for Course Change Requests for the 2024-2025 school year is now open!  This will be the ONLY opportunity for students to make changes (add/drop) to their course requests for the 2024-2025 school year.  

Courses can be viewed by selecting Course Requests in StudentVue or ParentVue.  This is NOT the schedule for next year but a compilation of teacher recommended core courses and elective courses chosen by the student.  Student schedules will be available in July.  Students should ensure that they are looking at ALL classes which should include core courses for Maths, Science, Social Studies, and English, along with four (4) elective courses. 

Waiving Up or Down Into an Academic Class

After reviewing student grades, test scores, and previous classroom performance, teachers make every effort to place students in classes where they student will be significantly challenged.  It is not the philosophy of Sprayberry High School to place students in classes that the school believes will be discouraging or overwhelming to students. If a student/parent requests a change in the course a teacher has recommended for a student, the parent and student must understand: 

• Students may waive into a maximum of two (2) courses and may only waive up or down one (1) level. 
• If space is available and the change is made, students cannot request to be moved back to the original course or a different course. 
• This course will place more stringent demands on the student (less if waiving down a level). 
• This course will require the student to meet a higher standard (lower if waiving down a level).
