The Walton Financial Services Pathway encompasses three courses in the following sequence: 1) Intro to Business & Technology, 2) Financial Literacy, 3) Banking, Investing, & Insurance.

The pathway provides students with an overview of business and technology skills required for today’s business environment. Employability skills are integrated into activities and projects throughout the entire pathway. Budgeting, banking, consumer credit, taxes, investment strategies, and risk management are a few of the major topics covered throughout the pathway. Students will have the opportunity to earn multiple industry recognized professional certifications in Microsoft Office. The certifications help students stand out as future job candidates in the professional world. Upon completion of the three courses, students will take the End of Pathway Exam. The exam is a financial literacy exam offered by W!se, a nationally recognized educational organization that develops financial literacy and readiness for college and careers. Students successfully passing the End of Pathway Exam will be recognized with a seal on their diploma acknowledging completion of the pathway.
