The staff at Kennesaw Mountain believes it is important for students to be involved in clubs at the school. Below is a list of clubs available to students.

Some of the clubs have websites that you can access to learn more about the club. These links are provided to you for your convenience. When you click on one of these links, you leave the Kennesaw Mountain High School website. These sites are not under the control of Kennesaw Mountain High School or the Cobb County School System. Kennesaw Mountain High School is not responsible for the contents of any of these sites. 


BOOK CLUBAdvisors: J. Shiver, S. Adams
Mission

To cultivate a love for reading by exploring diverse genres and authors. We aim to foster thoughtful discussions, deepen our understanding of literature, and build a supportive community of passionate readers. Through shared insights and perspectives, we enrich our reading experience and broaden each other's horizons. 

Activities

Bi-monthly meetings to discuss books, community service at the school and county library.

FASHION & DESIGN CLUBAdvisors: B. Bartlett
Mission

The purpose of this club is to foster creativity and self-expression through fashion design while creating a diverse and inclusive community. The club would create a collaborative environment where students can work on projects and develop skills in styling and marketing. 

Activities

Design club shirts; Fashion vision boards for each season; fall pumpkin painting party; design tote bags; holiday cookie decorating

FUTURE GEORGIA EDUCATORS (FGE)Advisors: A. Brammer
Mission

The Future Georgia Educators (FGE) Club empowers students to explore and pursue careers in education through hands-on experiences, leadership development, and mentorship. Our mission is to inspire and prepare the next generation of educators by fostering a deep understanding of teaching and promoting a lifelong commitment to education.

Activities

Classroom Observation and Mentorship, Leadership Workshops and Guest Speaker Events, Competitions, Comminity service events

HUMANITIES CLUBAdvisors: J. Ely
Mission

"To develop understanding of local history through the humanities" Also to organize community service opportunities for students.

Reading books, discussing historical events, reading literature.

KMHS FILM CLUBAdvisors: J. Ely
Mission

To create a space for students interested in film and enrich, entertain, and celebrate cinema. 

Activities

Bimonthly meetings; group movie days; watching short films and analyzing in class; discussing cinematography as well as film history before every viewing; sharing analysis and opinions; possible organized day to meet in theater

PHYSICS CLUB
Advisors: B. Alexander
Mission

To bring together a group of students interested in physics to collaborate and explore the vast opportunities and specialties in physics.

Activities

Physics tutoring, GA Tech Physics Day, AP test prep, physics labs and experiments

Members

Members must pass a simple test of their basic math and science skills.

POETRY FROM THE HEART
Advisors: R. Hutchinson
Mission

Our purpose is to provide poetry-loving students with a safe space to create and share poetry alongside peers who share the same passion.

Activities

Learning and writing different poetry styles, poetry inspired games, and having time and space to work on and share your poetry.
