Lassiter Junior and member of the Lassiter wrestling team, May Prado, won the United States Marine Corps U17 Women’s National Championship on Saturday, April 17, which qualifies her for the 2023 U.S. U17 World Team. As the winner of the best-of-three championship series, Prado will represent the United States at the U17 World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey, July 31 – August 6. Prado is the first female wrestler from the state of Georgia to represent the country on the U.S. World’s Team.
