Welcome to World Languages! The Lassiter High School World Languages program offers instruction in Spanish, French, and American Sign Language. The program’s goal is to prepare students to be competitive in college admissions and in the workforce. In today’s global economy, students must develop both language proficiency and cultural competence. At LHS, students have multiple opportunities to engage with language learning through academics, extracurricular activities, and travel experiences.

The electronic translation service is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages, although an impressive number, this does not capture all languages or dialects. The basic translation’s goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material.
