Lassiter High School proudly celebrated 15 senior student-athletes as they signed national letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at premier colleges and universities, including James Madison University and Berry College.
These athletes will compete at the collegiate level in baseball, fastpitch softball, football, lacrosse, soccer, and swimming, representing a wide range of talent across Lassiter’s athletic programs.
This accomplished group has been part of some of the school’s most successful teams in recent history, including the 2023–2026 seven-time consecutive Girls Swim and Dive State Championship teams, the 2026 Boys Swim and Dive State Champions, the 2023 back-to-back Boys Soccer State Championship team, the 2025 Fastpitch Region Champions, and the 2026 Girls and Boys Lacrosse Area Champions, as well as the 2025 Boys Lacrosse State Runner-Up team. Collectively, these student-athletes have maintained an impressive average GPA of 3.6, demonstrating excellence both in competition and in the classroom.
“Today is a celebration of these students and the hard work, determination, and commitment that have allowed them to excel both academically and athletically,” said Lassiter Athletic Director Scott Kelly. “They have represented Lassiter with pride, and I have no doubt they will continue to do so as they embrace the challenges of collegiate athletics. It has been a privilege to watch their growth over the past four years, and I look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the future.”
