Lassiter SAT Scores Finish Well Above State and National Averages

October 6, 2026 — Lassiter High School’s Class of 2026 earned an average SAT score of 1204, placing the Trojans 173 points above Georgia’s average and 193 points above the national average. Lassiter was one of eight Cobb high schools with averages exceeding 1100, and one of only two to exceed 1200. Its results also surpassed Cobb’s district average of 1116, giving the school community another academic accomplishment to recognize.
Georgia’s average was 1031, while the national average was 1011, out of a possible 1600 points. Lassiter's performance exceeds all three comparison averages—district, state, and national.
Lassiter students averaged 604 in evidence-based reading and writing and 599 in math, outperforming Georgia public-school averages by 79 points in reading and writing and 93 points in math, while topping the national public-school averages by 89 and 103 points, respectively.
The Trojans' success doesn't stop there. Lassiter’s SAT average also topped the broader state and national averages for all students, which include students from both public and private schools.
For graduates applying to college and seeking certain scholarships, SAT scores can help demonstrate academic preparation. The results offer one view of students’ learning as they move from high school into further education and future careers.
Lassiter's results come as Cobb maintained a district average of 1116. The SAT results include students expected to graduate in 2026. State and national comparisons are based on public school students in Georgia and nationwide, with reported averages rounded to the nearest whole number.
Congratulations to Lassiter graduates and the teachers, counselors, and families who helped them reach this milestone and prepare for what comes next.
