Congratulations to Lassiter Girls Swim & Dive Coach Brittany Hughes on being named the GHSA State Girls’ Swim Coach of the Year. Coach Hughes received this prestigious honor on December 17 during the State Football Championships at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

During her tenure at Lassiter, Coach Hughes has built one of the most dominant swim programs in Georgia. Under her leadership, the Trojan girls have captured an incredible six consecutive GHSA State Championships. The boys’ program has also thrived, earning multiple state runner-up finishes. 

Beyond the championships and accolades, Coach Hughes’ dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence have left a lasting impact on her athletes and the entire Lassiter community. The GHSA State Coach of the Year award is a well-deserved recognition of her extraordinary accomplishments and the legacy she continues to build at Lassiter.
