SPLOST stands for Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. It is a one-cent tax on all consumer goods that must be approved by voters in a referendum. Education SPLOST (Ed-SPLOST) receipts can be used only for school-related capital improvements. Since the first Ed-SPLOST was passed in 1998, we have opened a total of 32 new or replacements schools and have constructed more than 3,000 instructional units. Ed-SPLOST has provided the resources to elevate the standards for education in all schools across the district.

The referendum for Ed-SPLOST VI is scheduled for November 2, 2021. Please go vote.
