Scoliosis Screenings (click here for more...)
SHARE
On Tuesday, October 15 - Friday, October 18, Palmer 6th and 8th-grade students will participate in a scoliosis screening program to identify students with a possible abnormal curvature of the spine. It is known that 2 out of every 100 children might have scoliosis. If this condition is detected early and appropriately treated, progressive spinal deformity can usually be prevented. Students are typically screened by a doctor as part of their annual wellness exam. If you do not want your child screened at school or your child has already been screened by a doctor, complete the opt out form sent home or the online opt-out form attached below. This is due by Friday, October 11.
The electronic translation service is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages, although an impressive number, this does not capture all languages or dialects. The basic translation’s goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material.
