Cobb Schools’ Athlete of the Week (AOW) program is a weekly recognition of male and female student-athletes performing at high levels in their sport, classroom, and school communities. The program is made possible by support from BSN Sports.

Due to the Holiday Break and winter storms, the recognitions for the first 2025 winners were delayed. Very big congratulations to Desirae Holley from McEachern and Peter Gross from Walton!

Desirae Holley, Flag Football, McEachern

In the Team Region Duals, Peter went 2-0, helping lead the Raiders to a second-place finish and qualifying for the Team State Tournament for the first time since 2018! Peter has been a leader all season on a team made up mostly of freshmen and sophomores. He has assisted the younger wrestlers in learning how to be winning varsity athletes and leaders in the building. Peter also has a challenging academic schedule and maintains a GPA over 3.5.
