The Regions Bank Directors Cup, awarded by the Georgia Athletic Director's Association (GADA), recognizes those athletic departments in all GHSA classifications who have excelled and shown superior performance.

The GADA has presented this award annually since 2000. Award-winning schools receive a Regions Bank Directors Cup Trophy and a Wall Banner. For the ninth time in school history, Walton has won the Director's Cup for its classification (7A). The Walton girls ranked first in the state, and the boys finished second overall, as the Raiders completed an exceptional athletic season in 2023-24.

Cobb School District was well-represented across all three classifications in which they compete—7A, 6A, and 5A—with nine teams finishing in the top 25!

Here's how the District fared in the Directors Cup final standings:

7A: Walton 1st, Harrison 8th, Hillgrove 14th, Campbell 20th, North Cobb 23rd

6A: Pope 3rd, Lassiter 7th, Allatoona 13th

5A: Kell 19th

"This is simply more justification that the Cobb County School District, year in and year out, competes at a high level across the county," said Don Baker, District Director of Athletics. "This is a true testament to our student-athletes, coaches, and athletic directors who have made Cobb Schools the best place to teach, lead, learn, and play!"

Well done, Walton Athletics! We look forward to another exciting year of competition in 2024-25, featuring some of the best student-athletes in the state and nation.
