Naviance
What is Naviance?
Naviance is an online college and career planning program that supports students in exploring and developing their postsecondary plans. Students begin by searching for career pathways that seem like a good fit for them and then they look at their own strengths to develop goals. Students then evaluate and compare colleges and universities and use Naviance to request their transcripts to be sent to the colleges of their choice. Naviance unites all of these tools together in one comprehensive platform to support students and help them plan for their future. Naviance will be used by all high school students in grades 9th -12th in our counseling lessons and also independently. Self-Discovery, Career Exploration, Academic Planning and College and Career Preparation are the four key areas that are addressed in this program. So, creating a resume, exploring careers, researching colleges, seeking scholarships, and learning about college rep visits at Allatoona are just some of the wonderful tools that can be utilized through Naviance.
Instructions for Naviance can be found HERE.
The instructions will show all students how to log on to the Naviance site, but they also include specific information for Seniors who need to request a transcript and teacher recommendations for college applications.
