Rising 9th Grade Parent Night

We will be hosting our annual Rising 9th Grade Parent Night in the AHS Theater on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 6:30 PM, in the Allatoona Theater, and we look forward to seeing you here!

Course Catalog

All students should review the course catalog before making selections.  The course catalog contains most of the information that you will need to know about our class offerings and the scheduling process.

High School Course Planning

The spreadsheet below can be used to plan out all four years of high school.

Courses Requiring an Application

(Completing an application does not guarantee a spot in the course, and incomplete applications WILL NOT be considered)

Community Service/Learning (Formerly Newspaper/Journalism), Dual Enrollment Intent Form, Mentorship, Minimum Day, Work-Based Learning

CVA/GaVS Contract for 2024-2025 (online classes)

Schedule Changes

Choices made by students during registration are considered final. Courses offered and school staffing are based on the decisions that students make during the registration process. Schedule changes may be made on a very limited basis for the following reasons:

  • A graduation requirement must be added.
  • Student does not have the skills to continue in a year-long class.
  • Student does not meet the prerequisite(s) for the course.
  • Duplicate classes/obvious errors
  • IEP/ELL placement issues

Any schedule change that does not meet these criteria is subject to denial. Remember that yearlong courses are just that: YEARLONG.

If you have any questions along the way, our counseling staff is happy to assist you.
