A proud 2002 graduate of CCCEPA, Chauncey returns home as an accomplished performing artist and educator, bringing more than a decade of professional experience in Broadway, film, television, and commercial work. He is a graduate of Wright State University with a BFA in Acting with a Musical Theatre emphasis. His stage credits include Broadway and national tours of The Color Purple, Mamma Mia!, and Dreamgirls, as well as the celebrated production of “Hairspray” at the Hollywood Bowl.

His on-camera career includes appearances in acclaimed television series such as “Grey’s Anatomy”, “9-1-1”, and Tyler Perry’s “The Oval”, as well as national commercial campaigns for major brands including Nissan, McDonald’s, Walmart, and Verizon.

"Returning to my alma mater is a full-circle moment," Chauncey said about his new position at CCCEPA. "I'm thrilled to return to where it all began and share the insights and real-world lessons I’ve gathered along the way with the next generation of artists."
As a teaching artist, Chauncey is passionate about preparing students for success through practical, real-world training that offers a true 360-degree view of the entertainment industry. His philosophy, “The Complete Character,” challenges students to develop the powerful connection among physicality, vocal excellence, and emotional truth.
"Chauncey's passion, professionalism, and commitment to developing The Complete Character will undoubtedly elevate our program and inspire the next generation of artists. Bringing him onto the CCCEPA faculty feels like a full-circle moment in the best possible way," said CCCEPA Director Robert Connor.
Chauncey will begin teaching at CCCEPA in the fall of 2026, and Director Connor can't wait for him to join the talented team of performing arts educators.
"As an alumnus who has gone on to achieve remarkable success on Broadway, on screen, and beyond, Chauncey embodies the very excellence we strive to cultivate in our students. We are not only gaining an exceptional educator — we are welcoming home a legacy," he said with a smile.
Chauncey’s return is a testament to the enduring tradition of excellence within the CCCEPA program. Students will be inspired, challenged, and empowered by his artistry, professionalism, and dedication. Welcome home, Chauncey!
