8th Grade High School Prep & Registration
This week the Simpson counselors visited 8th grade classrooms to help students complete their Individual Graduation Plan. This lesson helps students understand both the academic and elective graduation requirements in high school. We also discussed units of credit and how those are calculated for promotion and ultimately, graduation! Students were given an example of a freshman (9th grade) schedule from Sprayberry and one from Lassiter to understand the difference between a block and traditional schedule. This IGP (Individual Graduation Plan) that we created will be useful when it’s time to register in the upcoming weeks.
