Supporting Our Own: Cobb Businesses Donate to Teachers

March 10, 2026 — Thanks to the help from the Cobb Chamber and local businesses, some of this year’s Cobb Teachers of the Year received extra support.
Teachers filled out lists of items that would benefit them and their classrooms, and local businesses helped meet those requests, investing in Cobb Schools and teachers who go above and beyond.
Roof Solutions in Austell surprised four schools in the South Cobb area — including Bryant Elementary School — with some extra cheer.
"The teachers do a lot for these students, so it's just nice that we can give back a little bit," said Matt Patterson, president of Roof Solutions.
Sabrina Jones, who has been at Bryant for the past five years, was the recipient of this most recent surprise at Bryant.

The longtime educator received a new chair, a classroom rug, gift cards, books, and other supplies to help her continue the great work she is already doing to help students succeed.
"I wasn't trying to get anything, but I'm incredibly grateful. I just really love what I do," said Jones.
Cobb Schools board member Leroy Tre’ Hutchins attended the surprise and saw firsthand how local businesses support education.
"We're just excited. I'm much appreciative, to see our business community also supporting our schools," said Mr. Hutchins.
