Join Wheeler High School Theatre as they embrace the uproarious hilarity of Mel Brooks’ side-splitting musical comedy – Young Frankenstein! Performances will take place on October 24, 25, and 26 at 7:00 pm and October 27 at 2:00 pm in the Wheeler Performance Arts Center.

Based on the 1974 Mel Brooks film of the same name, Young Frankenstein is a fiendishly fun musical comedy created by Mr. Brooks and Thomas Meehan (the award winning creators of the Broadway smash-hit, The Producers) and follows the story of the brilliant grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein as he learns he has inherited his family's eerie Transylvania estate and embarks on a zany experience to reanimate the dead. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, a leggy lab assistant, and the castle’s stern housekeeper, Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors as he brings to life a monster to rival his grandfather's. Come relive the hilariously zany 1974 Mel Brooks movie with this Broadway musical featuring the same monster-sized silliness, including the Irving Berlin hit, “Puttin’ on the Ritz.”
