Kennesaw Mountain High School will present Kennesaw MountainFest this Saturday, April 29, 2023. Cobb County School District and the Coca-Cola North Metro Bottling Company are the event's Title Sponsors.

Kennesaw MountainFest is operated by the Kennesaw Mountain High School Bands Organization and Arts Department and is proud to bring this inaugural event to the community. Musical performances by area groups such as Mariachi Buhos de Oro, School of Rock, and groups from local schools will highlight the festival. Foods from local vendors such as Anchor Bar—Home of the Original Chicken Wing will be featured in "taste of" portions for everyone to enjoy. Vendors highlighting crafts, art items, and other services will exhibit at the festival. Many children's activities will be on hand for family enjoyment and entertainment.

Lots more music throughout the day will be provided by Kennesaw Mountain's own Jazz Band and Chorus. There will also be Trumpet Trios, Percussion performances, Bass Guitar Duets, Trombone Trios, and more.

"Principal Nathan Stark and his staff have been a delight to work with on this brand-new event," said MountainFest organizer Lesley Litt. "John Floresta and John Stafford in the Events Office have been so helpful and supportive. Next year, all of our tasks will be easier to complete because they have helped us to get off to a great start!"

Admission to MountainFest and parking are both FREE. Tickets for food items can be purchased at the gate via credit card or cash. MountainFest will run from 11 am to 8 pm on Saturday (The rain date is Sunday, April 30).

Brad Wheeler, Chair of Cobb Schools' Board of Education, shared, "This is going to be a great event!" John Floresta, Chief Strategy & Accountability Officer, stated, "The Cobb County School District is proud that one of our schools is taking the initiative to produce a first-of-its-kind event within the District to further enhance the programs we deliver to our students."
