On Wednesday, December 12th, 2023, our Allatoona Girls Flag Football team competed in the state championship game against Pope.  The girls ended the first half of the game with a score of 7-6, but sadly ended up losing by just one point in the end; with a final score of 13-14. Whether they won or lost, these players had an incredible season and got to perform on live TV in the Mercedes-Benz stadium. Seniors Aoife Flynn and Sophia Settle each scored a touchdown during the game, boosting morale for their team and really showing off their dedication and Buccaneer pride. Even if the game didn’t result in a win, these girls should be so incredibly proud of their amazing season and hard work! We also need to shout out our amazing band and their talent and support for our team, even if we didn’t win the actual game, we won in both supporters and spirit.
