The Floyd Middle School Pre-LGPE Concert for FMS Concert and Symphonic Bands is scheduled for Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 6: 30 pm, and is a required public performance for 7th and 8th grade Band students. The concert will end at approximately 8:00 pm, and the expectation is that students will perform in and attend the entire concert to receive grade credit for this performance. As you know, we are preparing for our Large Group Performance Evaluation in March 2023. For our students to do well, we have asked several music educators to come in, create a “mock” LGPE experience and provide us with verbal and written feedback which will assist our students in their preparation and to improve their ratings and scores for Large Group Performance.

Attire:

• Black Dress Pants, Black Khakis or Skirt at or below the knee. No shorts, jeans, leggings, sweatpants or jogging pants.

• Solid Black Tennis Shoes or Solid Black Dress Shoes

• Grey FMS Music Department Polo shirt ($20.00) can be purchased through My Payments Plus. If your student has not ordered a shirt, please do so by Tuesday, February 7, 2023. We want our students to be in uniform in their band uniform attire.
