Mr. Glenn Evans started sixth grade science at Floyd Middle School in 2000. Mr. Evans was a former Teacher of the Year. He sponsored Chess Club for several years and he served as the Science Coordinator for many years.  Mr. Evans often worked nights and weekends to prepare lessons and monitor progress for his classes.  He also supervised the outside facility use of our gymnasium for many years for several community basketball teams.  Our Gym is named after him. He served Floyd faithfully for nearly 20 years. Mr. Evans was admired and highly respected and was dedicated to Floyd. Mr. Evans passed away after battling a lengthy illness in 2019. 

In honor of Mr. Evans, the Coral or Orange House shall be named Evans House at Floyd.  The House of Evans will represent Resilience & Dedication.
