Kim Bearden is the cofounder and executive director of RCA. Throughout her career, Kim has received numerous accolades, such as being inducted into the National Teachers Hall of Fame, the Disney American Teacher Awards Outstanding Humanities Teacher, and the Milken Family Foundation selected her to receive the Award for Excellence in Education.  Her awards and honors are long and extensive. Over the past thirty-four years, she has been a teacher, instructional lead teacher, curriculum director, school board member, staff development trainer, and middle-school principal, and bestselling author of three books.  However, at the beginning of her education career Ms. Bearden was a teacher.  She walked the halls and classrooms at Floyd Middle school for 7 years from 1987-1994.

In honor of Ms. Bearden, the Amber House shall be named the Bearden House at Floyd. The House of Bearden will represent Dreams & Vision.
