Cobb High Schools Get New Turf from Ed-SPLOST V Funds
SHARE
Thanks to funds made possible from Ed-SPLOST V (Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax), all 16 high schools in Cobb School District are receiving new turf in their stadiums. The new turf is a high-quality, low-maintenance product that not only looks great but will also decrease injuries for students.
The replacement work began last year, soon after schools were closed due to the pandemic. All Cobb high schools will be sporting the new turf before football season begins in 2021.
In addition to aesthetics and safety, the new turf will also save each schools’ Athletic Department thousands of dollars of upkeep costs every year. Learn more about the new turf and the ongoing work in the video below.
