The International Studies Magnet Program at North Cobb High School emphasizes exposure to various elements of different disciplines related to global cultures. On today's episode of The Inside Scoop, David Owen interviews Program Coordinator James Auld. The goal of the program is to provide an advanced educational experience for students emphasizing the development of global perspectives on politics, culture, and science. Students in the International Studies program will also gain leadership skills through extracurricular activities, service learning, and a senior project and presentation.

While there are similarities to Campbell's International Baccalaureate program, there are differences as Mr. Auld discusses. The North Cobb Magnet provides students with the opportunity to study multiple languages and offers a variety of language choices, including Japanese and American Sign Language.
