Kindergarten students at Bryant Elementary School did not have to wait to open gifts under the tree. Santas in uniform rolled up to the school with more than 100 gifts for the young Bryant scholars.

As members of the Cobb County Sheriff’s office passed out wrapped gifts, the students’ smiles were as big as the presents in their arms. Some of the young learners had trouble juggling the boxed holiday surprise, while others held their gift high in the air like a trophy.

The Cobb County Sheriff’s Department, with the help of the Cobb Sheriff’s Foundation, brought 150 gifts for Bryant students. This is the second year the Santas in uniform brought gifts to Bryant students.

All the young students gathered on the floor, many hugging their wrapped gifts, as they waited eagerly for the moment when they could rip off the paper to reveal the surprise waiting underneath. 

After a countdown, the paper began to fly. There were squeals with excitement and eyes that twinkled with joy as the students showed off their new dolls, board games, and a variety of other toys.

In addition to the Bryant students, Bryant kindergarten teachers have another reason to smile this holiday season. They walked away with gift cards from the Santas in uniform. 

The Bryant Santas are another example of the community coming out to support Cobb students. The Season of Giving has seen volunteers and donations from the Braves, RaceTrac, and more. Cobb schools have led some of the most memorable events over the past month, including North Cobb High School, Pearson Middle School, and South Cobb High School.
