Some Campbell High School students dedicated a day of their fall break to community service. In fact, about 100 volunteers including students, teachers, parents and Campbell staff members performed over 450 hours of community service in one day.  

The team of volunteers are members of the school’s Spartans, Students, Staff Engaged and Ready to Volunteer Everywhere (S.E.R.V.E.) team. They spent the day over fall break helping to beautify their school including completing small painting projects across the campus.  

The S.E.R.V.E. has three initiatives planned for the 2019-2020 school year. The one over fall break was just the first. They also plan to host Coffee with Cops and School Climate and Culture (No Place of Hate). 

The Campbell students prepared to lead the service projects over the summer when they underwent training by the Cobb Student Leadership Academy. 

During the three-day training, student leaders explored ways to improve Campbell by participating in engaging lessons, team building activities, and stakeholders roundtable discussion.  

As their impactful day of service demonstrated, Campbell’s student leaders are committed to making their school the best place to learn.
