If you are interested in starting a new club, applications will be open during the months of December and April. Contact Mr. Fisher with any questions about the application process.

Before beginning the application process, please review the following:
- Is your application for a Club or an Organization?- A school club is a group of students with common interests, goals, and purpose. Clubs are under the sponsorship, direction, and control of the school. Clubs may be either curriculum or non-curriculum-related groups and do not hold any particular religious, political, or philosophical beliefs.
- A student organization is a student-initiated, student-led, non-curriculum-related group. Student organizations may include, but are not limited to, groups that hold particular religious, political, or philosophical beliefs. All members of a student organization under the age of 18 must submit signed parental consent to the faculty organization monitor to participate.

Current Pope Clubs
- Ambassadors ClubChloe Hebert and Katherine Sims Freshman Orientation & Mentorship 
- Chemistry ClubTo help expand students' knowledge of chemistry through fun and educational experiments and review sessions. 
- Computing ClubComputing Club seeks to spread and facilitate a love of computer science and public service among students of Pope High School. 
- Crafts for a Cause ClubTo get students of Pope High School to engage in their local community by making and sending crafts to hospitals, refugee children, and for soldiers in the military. 
- Creative Writing ClubStudents practice writing in different genres and giving/receiving constructive feedback. 
- Cultural Appreciation Club / OrganizationFocuses on celebrating, preserving, and educating students on the cultures of the minority population in America, and together the club serves as a large unifying faction for the Pope student body. 
- Debate ClubTo support and inspire a diverse community of students who are committed to empowering others through speech and debate. Meets every Friday from 3:30 - 4:30. 
- Drama ClubDrama Club is a social club that provides opportunities to explore their interest in theatrical arts. The meetings will include theater games and activities, guest speakers, and special workshops. Meetings are on Fridays from 3:30 - 5:00. Learn more. 
- EASIA OrganizationTeach students about Asia's culture, history, and traditions. 
- Environmental ClubRaising awareness about environmental issues, promoting sustainable practices, and encouraging positive environmental action within the community. 
- Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) / OrganizationTo present to coaches, athletes and students, as well as all whom they influence, the adventure of serving Jesus Christ in the school, church and community. 
- Fencing Team / ClubTo build a community of fencers, foster teamwork, good sportsmanship, and to learn to deal with pressure that comes from individual competition. Fencers compete in up to nine tournaments throughout the season. 
- Fishing ClubParticipation in local fishing outings for fun, grow understanding of fishing techniques, raise local environmental awareness. Meets on Wednesdays at 2:15 pm once a month. 
- FLOP ClubPromote acceptance and appreciation of world languages and cultures. Meeting dates vary, but we have 5 whole group meetings, 1 leadership appreciation meal, 5-10 leadership meetings throughout the year. 
- Gaming ClubThe gathering of students with a common interest in games. Searches and investigates new games or gaming events. 
- Gay Straight Alliance / OrganizationForum to bring different cultures together and understand different sexual orientations. Meets every other Monday 3:30 - 4:30 pm. 
- German Honor SocietyNational Honor Society for German students. No meetings. 
- Girls' Bible Study / OrganizationTo encourage and inspire young women to go into the world as sisters in Christ's Holy Name. Meetings are at 7:40 am every Tuesday. 
- Girls in STEM / ClubTo encourage and support girls of Pope who are interested in STEM careers. Meetings are at 7:40 am on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. 
- Global Threads ClubLearn to crochet and make stuffed animals to donate to needy children. 
- Glow and Create ClubTo educate students on dermatologist recommended skincare through fun interactive lessons followed by hands on crafts such as decorating containers for moisturizers or making holders for sunscreen to blend science, creativity and self care in an empowering way. 
- Governor's Honors Program (GHP)Summer program sponsored by state legislature; application only. 
- Greyhounds Aiding Ladies Supplies (G.A.L.S.) ClubGALS mission is to spread awareness of problems facing women in poverty and to collect and donate necessities. Meets one morning a month in room 305. 
- Guitar ClubTo provide a place for guitar lovers to come together to play guitar and perform. Meetings are one Wednesday a month. 
- Habitat for Humanity ClubNonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. We believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities. 
- Hearts of Hope ClubTo support and empower women in need by creating packages of essential items and to raise awareness about women's issues in our community. 
- Helping Hounds ClubHelping animals in local shelters by raising funds, collecting needed items, and volunteering time at shelters. 
- High Schools Against Cancer ClubTo support the American Cancer Society by promoting awareness, fundraising and volunteering to create a community of students to fight cancer. 
- History Bowl Team / ClubAcademic competition team in the area of history. 
- HOSA: Future Healthcare Professionals / ClubTo develop leadership, service, and passion as a future healthcare professional. 
- Humanitarian ClubProvides Pope students an opportunity to create opportunities to positively impact and connect with our community through selfless acts and the promotion of human welfare. 
- Improv ClubImprov Club meets weekly so members can practice their improvisational theater skills through fun, interactive games. In the spring, Improv Club holds auditions for members to participate in the Variety Show and the Improv Showcase. Meets on Wednesdays during the 1st half of x-block. 
- In Real Life (IRL) ClubIn Real Life (IRL) Club meets to discuss the impact of cell phones on all aspects of life and learn how to live outside of their devices and in real life. Benefits of cell phones are also explored. 
- Interact ClubTo spread the ideals of Rotary and serve in our community. Learn more. 
- Investing Hope ClubOur mission is to empower Columbian children, youth, and families to find a way out of poverty and discover hope through value-based entrepreneurship, savings, and financial management skills. Meetings the 1st Monday of each month 3:35-4:05 or as needed. 
- Jewish Club (Jew Crew) / OrganizationTo promote religious acceptance by increasing our knowledge of others' religions and learning about their beliefs, life events, and celebrations and seeing each other's similarities, as well as gaining new friends. Morning meetings each month. 
- Key ClubAn international, student-led organization that provides service opportunities. Key Club values leadership skills, inclusiveness, and promotes character development. Meetings are the 2nd Thursday of the month before school. Learn more. 
- Knittin' for Kittens ClubTo make mats that animal shelters can use to give to their adopted cats. Meetings are the 1st Monday of each month at 7:40 am. 
- Magic: The Gathering ClubTo provide a space where students can play this popular card game. Meetings are every Thursday 3:30 - 4:45 pm. 
- Math ClubA weekly get together for students who enjoy mathematical problem solving and exploring interesting questions outside of the math curriculum. We also participate in county math competitions along with other schools in Cobb. Meetings are every Friday from 3:30 - 4:30. 
- Men's Bible Study / OrganizationTo help and inform boys in navigating high school in a positive way. 
- Mock Trial / ClubTo develop students' knowledge and skills in legal reasoning, public speaking, and courtroom procedures through stimulated trial competitions. 
- Model UN ClubAn authentic simulation of the UN General Assembly, UN Security Council, or other multilateral body, which introduces students to the world of diplomacy, negotiation, and decision making. At Model UN, students step into the shoes of ambassadors of countries that are members of the UN. 
- Mountain Bike ClubThe Pope Mountain Biking Club meets monthly to build skills, share tips, and discuss local trails for recreational and competitive riding, while connecting students through fun, fitness, and community. 
- Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society) ClubTo create an interest in math and represent our school and community as members. To participate in school improvement as well as community improvement projects. Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:45 am or 3:35 pm. 
- Murdock Tutoring ClubTo provide tutoring to future Pope students in all areas to provide a sense of support and learning. 
- National Art Honor Society / OrganizationTo inspire and recognize those students who have shown outstanding ability in art. Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Fridays each month at 7:45 am. 
- National English Honor SocietyNational Honor Society for English students. To promote excellence in English and enthusiasm for literature. 
- National Honor Society / ClubServes to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:45 am. 
- Neuroscience ClubTo help students prepare for the Brain Bee and learn more about neuroscience topics. Meets the 2nd Thursday of every month in room 318. 
- Octagon ClubDevelop as individuals while being involved in community service projects. 
- Orchestra ClubTo enrich the musical culture of Pope students and community. 
- Photoshop ClubTo appeal to and help grow students artistic and creative abilities through a fun and engaging experience. 
- Physics ClubTo discuss topics on modern events in the physics world and their implications and to provide members with information on physics competitions. Meetings are Thursdays from 3:30 - 4:30 in room 93. 
- Pope Buddies ClubJana Barry and Sabrina Williams Building friendships between students with and without disabilities. We celebrate everyone's differences and focus on how we are all alike! 
- Pope Library Ambassadors (PLA) / ClubTo support the Pope Library Learning Commons and help create activities and programming for students. Meetings are the 2nd Friday each month at 7:45 am and afternoons as needed. 
- Red Cross ClubSupport local Red Cross events 
- Robotics ClubEngineering and building of robots for competition. Aligns with the STEM initiatives. 
- Science National Honor Society / ClubHonor high science performance. Meetings are every other month on a Tuesday or Thursday at 7:45 am. 
- Science Olympiad / ClubNational non-profit dedicated to improving the quality of K-12 science education. Meetings are Mondays 3:30 - 5:00. 
- Senior Care First / ClubTo send cards and letters to seniors who may not be surrounded by loved ones or family. To make them feel seen, heard, appreciated, known and loved. 
- Skills USA ClubTo learn about and experiment with marketing techniques that 21st century businesses use every day. Meetings are during x-block 2:15 - 2:55 pm. 
- Social Studies National Honor Society (Rho Kappa) / ClubTo promote scholarship and to recognize academic excellence in social studies in secondary school environments and the community. 
- Spanish Honor Society / ClubPolicies of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. 
- Stock Market ClubTo educate and give real life practice on investing in the stock market. Meetings on Wednesday morning every other week in room 213. 
- Student Government Association (SGA) / ClubJessica Kelly and Alissa Kitchens Pope student school leadership. Meets during x-block 2:15 - 2:55 and officers meet one AO each week. 
- Tutoring ClubDesigned for students to help other students struggling in classes. Students work one-on-one or in small groups with designated peers at the time and place (on campus) of their choosing. Learn more. 
- Yoga ClubTo learn various yoga movements and incorporate awareness and calmness in class and life.
