Swinging for a Cause: School Community Tees Up to Support Student Success
The greens of Dogwood Golf Club witnessed the Cobb Schools community coming together, once again, to raise funds to boost student success.
School leaders, Cobb Schools Foundation members, and representatives from local businesses teamed up for the annual Swinging for a Cause Golf Tournament sponsored by the Cobb Schools Foundation. United by a love for golf and a passion for helping students, participants enjoyed a day of friendly competition, lively conversation, and scenic greens, all while raising essential funds for Cobb County students.
“Our sponsors and golfers play a huge role in empowering our students,” shared Felicia Wagner, Cobb Schools Foundation Executive Director. “This tournament reflects the power of community collaboration to give students a brighter future.”
The Foundation raised more than $50,000, which will be used to help provide two seniors from each high school with a $1,000 scholarship, plus the Foundation also provides perseverance awards to students who have shown grit, while maintaining their academic achievement.
