The Cobb County School District staff and students frequently bring home awards of excellence and top accolades. The Cobb Schools Communications Department recently added to the District’s long list of prestigious awards.
The Georgia School Public Relations Association (GSPRA) announced in October 2024 that the Cobb Schools Communications Team earned 11 gold awards, five silver awards, and one bronze award, more than any other school district in Georgia.
In addition to the extensive list of awards, two of the team’s pieces won Best in Category: one for writing and the other for photography.
In addition to standing out among their Georgia peers, the Cobb Communications team has once again earned international awards. The MarCom Awards honor excellence in marketing and communication for professionals worldwide.
With three MarCom Platinum awards, the Cobb Communications team earned a spot among top brands, government organizations, and educational institutions. Other platinum award winners include The Walt Disney Company, IBM, Lowe’s, Pepsi, Cornell University, DHL, Savannah College of Art and Design, Emory University, and Miami International Airport.
The Cobb Communications team also captured 6 MarCom Gold Awards. These latest 2024 communications awards add to the awards the department earned from the National School Public Relations Society earlier in the year.
Over the past decade, Cobb’s Communications Team has won 9 Platinum Awards, 13 national Excellence Awards, and 48 Gold Awards, including 6 Best in Category.
